About the event

Prepare  for an extraordinary adventure with our Kanpai & Kintsugi!

Imagine a  setting where the artistry of Kintsugi, the practice of mending broken  pottery with gold, merges with the joy of Sake.

Here,  you won't just attend a class, you'll celebrate the unique beauty found  in imperfection, as you live in the moment, sipping sake, taking  shattered objects, and turning them into works of art.

Embrace the present moment and celebration of resilience. With Kanpai & Kintsugi!

Chris  Gilpin is the visionary founder and Director of Umeboshi Studios, a  human-centered design firm specializing in curating authentic Japanese  cultural experiences. With a profound passion for understanding  traditional Japanese craftsmanship and practices, Christine's  transformative journey began during her 9 years living in Aomori, Japan.

Chris  will be teaching YOU the art of Kintsugi.

Kintsugi is the Japanese art  of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with  lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or gold leaf to  commemorate the breakage and repair of an object as part of its history.
